General
How do I sign up for a course?
You can sign up here. Simply choose the day and time that work best for you and fill in the registration form. We'll then send you a confirmation email with payment options.
You can pay by bank transfer or BLIK (if you have a Polish bank account), or by card if you're using a foreign bank account. Card payments are securely processed by Stripe and support international cards and multiple currencies.
Where do the lessons actually take place?
Online via Google Meet and Miro. You need a device with a camera and microphone. All materials live on a shared interactive whiteboard (Miro) accessible throughout the course.
I'm worried Polish will be too difficult for me.
That's one of the most common reasons people delay starting – and one of the least accurate. At beginner level, you don't need to master the full grammar system. You need enough to communicate in everyday situations. This course is built around exactly that. If you can follow a lesson in English and show up, you can do this.
Can I use English during the lessons?
Yes, of course. Our lessons are conducted mainly in Polish - even with complete beginners. You might be surprised how quickly it starts to feel natural! Using Polish as much as possible gives you maximum exposure to the language and helps you make faster progress.
That said, we always keep English as a support language. We use it whenever it's needed to explain more complex points, answer questions, or make sure everything is clear and fully understood.
Do I need to keep my camera on during the lessons?
Yes. We do a lot of speaking during our lessons, and we often use gestures and facial expressions to explain new words and ideas. Being able to see each other helps create a comfortable, friendly learning environment and allows everyone to get the most out of every lesson. Seeing each other also helps us build a sense of connection, which makes speaking in a new language much less stressful.
What happens after the course?
You can continue with a next semestr group course, or individual 1-on-1 lessons in Oh My Polish.
What if I miss a session?
Sessions can be recorded if all participants agree on it.

What level will I reach by the end of the course?
Depending on your current level, you can naturally continue to the next stage after completing the course. For example, if you start at A1.1, after one 20-week course you'll move on to A1.2, then A1.3, A2.1, and so on.
The pace may vary slightly depending on whether you choose the 40-hour or 30-hour course, as well as the needs and progress of your group.
During the summer break, we also offer intensive 30-hour courses that allow you to complete a level in just a few weeks.
Will the group definitely start?
Yes, as long as we reach the minimum of 3 participants required to form a group. If the group doesn't reach the required number, we'll let you know as soon as possible and you'll receive a full refund.
Do I need to buy a coursebook?
At A1 level (A1.1, A1.2 and A1.3), you don't need to buy any additional materials. We'll provide the workbooks we'll use during the lessons.
Of course, if you'd like to do some extra studying, your teacher will be happy to recommend additional books and resources - but purchasing them is entirely optional.
From A2 level onwards, we use a dedicated coursebook, which is supplemented with our own original teaching materials.
What additional learning materials will I have access to?
Depending on your course level, you'll get access to a range of additional resources, including:
-
interactive flashcards with pronunciation,
-
audio recordings,
-
interactive exercises.
How will we stay in touch?
Every Oh My Polish student has access to their own Student Portal, where you can:
-
view your lesson schedule,
-
access homework,
-
communicate directly with your teacher.
If you prefer, you can also contact us by email.
Can I book a single lesson?
You can book a trial lesson at 50% off for PLN 70.
After that, private lessons (including lessons for two students) are available in packages of 4, 10 or 20 lessons.
What if I can't attend a lesson?
Each lesson package includes a number of lessons that you can cancel or reschedule free of charge, provided you let your teacher know at least 24 hours in advance. These lessons can then be made up at another mutually agreed time.
The number of lessons you can reschedule depends on your package:
-
4-lesson package: 1 lesson
-
10-lesson package: 2 lessons
-
20-lesson package: 3 lessons
For paired lessons, both students are responsible for coordinating attendance. If only one student attends, the lesson will go ahead as scheduled.
If you cancel a lesson less than 24 hours before it starts, or if you've already used all of your allowed cancellations/reschedules, the lesson will be considered as taken.
